In fact, it's making me think I ought to rewrite the dialogue in an adaptation I wrote in order to be more in keeping with the novel. Everyone was spot-on, and all those little details from the novel just thrilled me. I think the only thing I'd point out is that I THINK it said in the novel that Judy was blonde hair, but besides that this is just perfect. I hope you write more for DLL. You capture it too well not to! |

I loved how you incorporated all those details from Judy's letter into this fic, and it was really nice to see the relationship between Jervis and Judy from a 3rd person perspective. DLL is one of my favorite books and I adore Judy's voice, but I've always wanted to see a story tracing the evolution of Jervis's feelings towards his ward. This isn't quite that, but it still made me very glad :) |
